Fanni found these images while looking on Google for inspiration from mother nature. She came up with the idea of building a city and having the city get larger in scale in comparison to the island. So having it look like man are over powering nature.
The top right image we have interpreted as humans essentially killing mother nature with the gun pointed at her which is similar to the idea I had earlier.

We looked into photo realism in film and found that films that create non existent scenes use a library of images as reference material to incorporate into the production. As it is very difficult to make an audience believe a virtual scene as opposed to a real life scenario.
Briefly looked into technology vs nature
We looked at a clip of avatar because they use aspects of technology to try and over power nature and start a war with co inhabitants.
Story:
-Opening shot of Mother Nature, waking up in a park
with a close up of her face.
-Camera zooming out as she walks around, while analyzing all of the man made objects, e.g. benches, swings, slides…
-She walks out into the city and notices the buildings, where there appears to be a dead plant
-She touches the plant bring it back to life as it grows up the building.
-The pollution of the city affects her and body starts to wilt
-The weather darkens and it starts to rain
-Plants grow as it rains and she regains some of her strength
-A ray of light shines through the clouds

We decided to look into how certain effects would be done and adjust the story slightly.
Firstly we looked into how the characters body would change from the effects of pollution.

we found in normal people the effects of pollution in the are could lead to reduced lung capacity breathing problems such as asthma, metals such as lead and mercury in the air could lead to brain defects and cancer.
We thought these things could be acted out by our model by coughing and breathing heavy but the actual effects should be used o show her body change like a plant dying.
So we began to look at images of dying plants and came across a leaf that looked very interesting.
We thought is could be quite interesting to try and mimic with our characters skin so have it slowly turn brown and crack. The woman’s skin could start to form holes into her muscle in patches on her arm and near her bones. So it will look similar to that of plant decay. We thought we could do this by a combination of modelling two separate arms one normal and one the decayed version and using nuke to overlay them.
New story
Character is in her own environment small cave or hut something very natural walking around. (CG) (real life footage around it) (lake district?)
Cuts to footage of a tractor (real footage color corrected in nuke) The tractor is digging into the ground.
There is loud crashes birds fly away past her window. (real footage again color corrected)
Then cuts to the woman watching the birds fly away and hearing the noise.
She opens the front door steps out.
The camera cuts to footage of power plants and a city the camera zooms into the smoke from the power plant. (london city, birmingham)
Then out the smoke to the woman in front of her house starting to cough and choke through the smoke.
Then shows her arm start to decay like the plant.
She falls to the floor shot of the whole characters body decayed and monsterous.
Then final shot of the characters hand as she starts to try and fight back making ivy or a plant grow on the ground next to her hand.
CUT TO BLACK.
